Feel free to use some or all of these questions in your ,o,cell group, Bible
study, or with your family. Some questions will need to be reworded or
omitted for smaller children.
1) Do you enjoy mystery novels, or moves and TV shows that center on a mystery? What is your favorite example of a mystery? (Fr. Thomas loves the movie Memento, for instance).
2) Israel lived for hundreds of years with this mystery: “how would God redeem his people and be faithful to his promises?” If you were alive in the time of Christ, what might you have guessed God was going to do?
3) Paul calls Christ and the Gospel “the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret from long ages past” (Romans 16:25). What promises of God did Christ fulfill?
4) What aspect of Christ is mysterious to you today?
